Do you love books and talking to people?

Are you passionate about libraries as welcoming spaces that are open to everyone?

Would you like to be part of the National Art Library team, helping visitors discover and use its amazing collections?

Located in beautiful and historic reading rooms at V&A South Kensington, the National Art Library (NAL) holds the UK's most comprehensive public reference collection of literature on the fine and decorative arts, including books, journals, catalogues, comics, e-resources and much more. As a Welcome Host, you will offer every visitor a warm welcome, helping people to understand what’s in the collections and how to access them so that everyone might have a great experience and find the information they need.

You would be asked to give time flexibly once or twice a month, or more if you would like. Volunteer slots would run for 2.5 hours each, with morning or afternoon sessions available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Information for applicants: Those who apply for this role will be invited to an informal in-person chat at our South Kensington site on the morning of 10 June. If this date isn’t suitable then please let us know and an alternative can be arranged.
